Osteopathy and Chiropractic

Fourteen months ago someone crashed into my car causing me a moderate whiplash injury. They class it as 'moderate' when a person is in significant pain but able to continue with their lives.

It was weird. For the first week I thought I'd got away with it. Then the pain began - and months and months of it, from head to foot. Headache, backache, numbness, prickling arms, sciatica etc. I did a lot of Alexander Technique work to cope with the situation.

Fourteen months on and my nerves are still badly affected; the stiffness and discomfort are ever present; sleep is an occasional luxury and it's altogether a right nuisance. It got to the point where I was wanting stronger and stronger pain-killers when I thought, right, I need some help.

I returned to my Osteopath in Chichester, Simon Palmer, for a couple of treatments and I organised a skill-swap with Kirsten Lucy Stockman, the Exminster Chiropractor.

Osteopaths and Chiropractors both work on the spine, and other things, but the former concentrate on the blood supply, whereas the latter concentrate on the nerve supply. Both are very highly trained and have many years experience - so I know I'm in good hands.

And I can reeeeally feel they make a difference. They're helping me in ways I couldn't help myself and it's a relief. I highly recommend them both :)
